Greetings, fellow gerbils!
Hey there, it's Gerry here! As you may have gathered, I am a gerbil and this is a blog about my life on this planet. I appear to humans through a machine called the GerbilMaestro, which is an exact copy of my master. I control this machine and most of the time pretend to be my master in front of other humans.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog. Thanks a gerbillion!

Mexx gets poned big time...by a satsuma!!!

At breaktime at Nasha Academy, we were all just chillin'. Mexx was eating a clementine, so therefore we had a discussion about all the different types of oranges (tangerines, clementines, satsumas, and the list goes on...), this conversation concluded with Mexx saying that she didn't like any other type of orange except from clementines. At this point, ArwaChihuahua get's out a satsuma and starts eating it. Then Mexx and Master have a little argument over whether it is a clementine or a satsuma. Mexx was so convinced that it was a clementine, which it wasn't, she asked ArwaChihuahua for a segment of the fruit. After Mexx put it in her mouth and started chewing did she realise that it was a satsuma. All we hear is, "Urghhh, it is a satsuma, ewwww!" And then we see Mexx running to the nearest bin and spitting out the satsuma. And that is how Mexx got utterly poned by Master...and a satsuma!

Story behind quote for Day 2

"Well it was based on you...(awkward silence)"

Story behind quote:
In our languages lesson at Nasha Academy, Master sits next to Nasha. They were all drawing pretty pictures, and Nasha said to Master, "That's a pretty person," and pointed at Master's drawing. Then, ok major awkward turtle coming up, Master said, "Well it was based on you...(awkward silence)"

It's Earth Day today!

It's not just Good Friday, it's also Earth Day today! I hope all of you gerbils are being green and eco-friendly :]

Story behind quote for Day 17

"What are you? Are you all forming a force-field or something?!?!"

Story behind quote:
This happened in an English lesson at Nasha Academy. Master was sitting next to Mexx and across the room were LG and Tozloz (two other dudes who enjoy making fun of Mexx). It all started when LG wrote on his hand 'Perfection' and showed it to Mexx. As you may know, Mexx is a bit of a perfectionist, actually scratch that out, she is an absolute perfectionist, even though she will not admitt it. After she saw the word on LG's hand she got rather mad. Then, Master decided to join in the fun as well and did the same as LG had done. Afterwards, LG alerted Tozloz, who then also did the same. At this point Mexx just looked around the room at the three of them and said, "What are you? Are you all forming a force-field or something?!?!"

It's Good Friday!

Hello everyone!
It's Good Friday today! Hope you're all having a good one :)
Tick :) if you are looking forward to munching Easter eggs!

ANT's interesting story...about the 'FEARLESS WARRIOR DOG'!!!

Today, ANT sent me an email about her interesting day at a nearby river. Here is what she wrote:

I was at the river today and there was this swan swimming around, I think it was protecting its teritory because whenever someone came near the edge it would hiss. It seemed to particularly hate dogs! Every dog ran away scared afterwards. Then this one dog came, and jumped straight in! When the swan came and hissed it jumped in again, lol! I thought in my head ‘FEARLESS! WARRIOR DOG!!!!!!’

Story behind quote for Day 16

"You're all...um...nice people..."

Story behind quote:
As you may know, Mexx's Bear-thday Resolution is to not use violence. At first the deal was that she didn't use any form of violence at all. This includes physical and verbal. So when we made fun of her she would try not to insult us back so she would say, "You're all...um...nice people..." But then, we thought that this was a tad too far, so we said to her that she could use verbal violence, but not physical. Fair :)

Wadz's New Blog!!! Two words. Absolutely. Epic!!!!!

You must check this out, gerbils! This is Wadz's epic new blog! It is called "The Ways of the Warrior" Go read it, now! Go follow it! Just go and support it! By the way, you can find it in the 'Other blogs' section :)
If you are still reading this, then you really shouldn't be, because you should be reading Wadz's new blog! Go on, what are you waiting for?!?!

Story behind quote for Day 14

"I bet she's gonna say all that again but in a lower pitch"

Story behind quote:
For some reason, Mexx dislikes speaking in a high-pitched voice. So, therefore whenever she does she'll just say it and then clear her throat, then repeat what she has said again but in a lower pitch. It is most entertaining to watch, so whenever she does it Brybry/Stas and Master will say, "I bet she's gonna say all that again but in a lower pitch."

Tuesday 19 April 2011

Story behind quote for Day 8

"What a melon-choly girl!"

Story behind quote:
Well, one lunchtime Brybry/Stas was looking a little down. That lunchtime she was eating melon, and so Mexx and Master turned to eachother and said, "What a melon-choly girl!"

So far...

Ok, I've had suggestions for Day 8, 14, 16 and 17. Any more???

Monday 18 April 2011

More Jimmies!

Well, today ANT, Wadz, ArwaChihuahua and pals found six more ladybirds! Yes, six! That's pretty impressive. So, now we have got up to Jimmy XXXII, I wonder how many more there will be in the future :]

More Graeme Sightings!

Another entry has been added to the 'Graeme Watch Corner'. Go and check it out :]

Jimmy XXV and Jimmy XXVI - Part II

Here is part II of the story of Jimmy XXV and Jimmy XXVI:
At the time we presumed that Jimmy XXV had died and so we just left him there and walked on. Wadz was talking about how she had learned not to attempt to pick up ladybirds on flat surfaces. So we said "Never mind, at least we will know for next time!"
"Yeah, next time it will be Jimmy XXVI."
Just as Wadz said this, ANT said, "Oh my gosh, it can't be! It's another ladybird!" It was indeed another ladybird, but this time in a bush. Wadz went to try and pick it up, but in the end gave up and decided not to. So, there you have it, gerbils. And the lesson from that story was, "Don't attempt to pick up ladybirds on flat surfaces" :]

ANT's epic story-telling skills...!

I have to tell you, ANT is an amazing story-teller! She can make a boring episode of Eastenders sound so exciting :] Here is what she told me today:
"I know you don't watch Eastenders, but I'm still gonna tell you this. So last night is was the engagement party for so-and-so and then this person turned up and it was like major awkward turtle! Then the roof collapsed in on him and this huge metal pole hit him on the head!"
Afterwards, I was talking to Ruby, who also watches Eastenders, about it and she said that it was actually a serious episode, then I laughed at the fact that ANT had made it sound so exciting/interesting :]

Jimmy XXV and Jimmy XXVI - Part I

Here is the story of Jimmy XXV (25th) and Jimmy XXVI (26th):
On the way back home from Nasha Academy today, with Wadz and ANT, I saw a ladybird.
So I said "Look, it's a ladybird." After I had said the word 'ladybird', Wadz suddenly went into her 'must-find-ladybird' mode and shouted "Where's the ladybird, where?!?!" So I showed her where it was, and she decided to pick it up (Wadz has always liked pickin up ladybirds for some reason!) and named it Jimmy XXV (Btw, if you hadn't realised, every ladybird that Wadz finds is called Jimmy). After a while she dropped Jimmy XXV but demanded that she picks it up again.Wadz struggled to pick it up and unfortunately, in the end, it died. But do not fear, gerbils, Jimmy XXV came back to life again! (But we didn't know that, at the time)
Come back tomorrow for part II of this epic story :]

Mexx's Birthdays...!

I thought I'd tell you this, just so you know. We are getting very close to Mexx's Birthday (yay!), however, due to the differences between the Bear Calendar and the Caveman Calendar, Mexx has two birthdays in a year! Her 'Bear' Birthday is on the 5th April and her 'Caveman' Birthday is on the 5th May. We can't wait to celebrate with her! :]

Sunday 3 April 2011

Sundae-licious!

Guess what? Today is the 119th anniversary of the ice cream sundae! The ice cream sundae itself was invented in 1892 when New Yorker Chester Platt served his own speciality desert dish to Unitarian church minister John M. Scott on Sunday April 3rd - hence it is named after the Sabbath day. Bet you didn't know that! Makes me feel a little peckish now...!

Happy Mother's Day!

Just wishing you all a very Happy Mother's Day!
