Wassup everyone? Welcome back to another year of Weekly News Round-Ups! We all arrived back at the Academy in high spirits after the holidays and it was a pretty interesting week...
On Monday, Alexis decided that he would put aside his role as a guidance counsellor and instead his main title is now 'YouTube specialist'. To anyone that is concerned, he will still be guiding people, but only as a part-time job.
Speaking of job titles, we've just written up a page of profiles for the whole team, which you can find by clicking here. There's updated bio's which people haven't really complained about yet. I'm proud of us for managing to write ANT's description without mentioning salt at all.
That same afternoon, we had another incredibly productive board meeting. Wicks and Master were joined by Alexis, who offered some great ideas on how to improve our chair-spinning techniques. Additionally, we brought up some relevant issues with the Podcaast, which are currently being solved.
Tuesday saw ANT showing DisneyLoverMolly and Master the Scribblenaughts app. In all honesty, they weren't totally impressed by what is the only app that ANT has ever paid for. What made it even worse was that there was a glitch that meant it would reset the levels every now and then, so it would be impossible to progress effectively. What is most interesting is that ANT still finds the app worthwhile...perhaps she can justify this by writing us a review...?
The new year has also proved to be revolutionary for the Academy's canteen. At lunchtime, we noticed the brand new long-boat baguette design, which meant that they cut off the ends of the baguette and put them at both ends of the filling.
Wednesday was the day that we called an impromptu board meeting and decided we needed to design an office environment for the team to work in. The attendance levels were outstainding by our terms as we had the majority of the team, apart from ANT, present. There were many discussions as to what the sort of items we needed and we sketched out a few layout ideas. Later on, we decided to design our own offices and then have a grand reveal sometime next week. Please note that this office space does not exist currently. We just have big imaginations.
On Thursday, quite a few things went on. Lunchtime consisted of Triangle not having any money, George revealing his fear of libaraies (?), and The Appalling One taunting Alexis about having #5likes...
Later that evening, we also did some recording for the Podcaast. We won't say too much about it, but it ended with Wicks and Master going through some old photos and identifying a few of them to be suitable for toothpaste (tuthpaste) adverts.
Friday was a day of true excitement for everyone. DisneyLoverMolly was thrilled when lunchtime rolled in, as she had Doritos with a range of dips. Meanwhile, ConscienceSarah's pastie wasn't really to anyone's liking. ANT expressed a strong dislike at the aesthetic aspects of the filling. Speaking of ANT, she managed to lose her sachet of salt in between walking from the canteen to the cafeteria. The best part was when we were walking back home, she suddenly exclaims 'Oh my goodness' and explains that the salt sachet had been in her pocket the whole time! #classic
That evening, we went to the Academy's unplugged music show. Overall, we had a fantastic evening, with ANT being especially impressed and vowing to attend all the upcoming concerts! Even though the majority of the acts were fantastic, some could still improve. One particular borderline poor performance had the Principal yawning, ANT sighing, and Master having a hard time keeping down the laughs. All in all, what a great evening...roll on the next one!
Until next week, have a good one ;)

Greetings, fellow gerbils!
Hey there, it's Gerry here! As you may have gathered, I am a gerbil and this is a blog about my life on this planet. I appear to humans through a machine called the GerbilMaestro, which is an exact copy of my master. I control this machine and most of the time pretend to be my master in front of other humans.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog. Thanks a gerbillion!
