Greetings, fellow gerbils!
Hey there, it's Gerry here! As you may have gathered, I am a gerbil and this is a blog about my life on this planet. I appear to humans through a machine called the GerbilMaestro, which is an exact copy of my master. I control this machine and most of the time pretend to be my master in front of other humans.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog. Thanks a gerbillion!

Weekly News Round-Up #1: 23/09/2012

In case you forgot to check the Weekly News Round-Up column last week, here is what happened:

Sunday 23rd September 2012
This week we have been a little short on numbers. ANT was unfortunately ill all week, along with Wadz, who was only present on Friday. Also, some people were on history trips on Thursday and Friday. By pure coincidence, Ireland's eccentric duo, Jedward, were also there! It still puzzles many why of all the places that Jedward can spend their day off on, they chose a war museum.
Anyway, onto more academic matters. After Nasha Academy's new principal's inspirational assembly last week, this Wednesday, we were presented with the pleasure of having our assembly taken by the new vice-principal! It was indeed a most informative 20 minutes ever in my life, with an important under-lying message.
Through the assembly, the vice-principal talked us through the many stages of him preparing his dining room wall for redecoration (For anyone who is attempting the gruelling challenge of DIY, the vice mentioned the website, www.diyfixit.co.uk, which he found most helpful). After sanding, scrubbing, masking taping, etc. came the actual painting part. Of course, at this part, we were all questioning why in the world our new vice-principal was telling us all this. Well, my fellow Gerbil friends, prepare to be enlightened. The message of his assembly was that in order to achieve the best possible end result, preparation is key. (For those who are asking, yes, his dining room did end up looking spectacular, well, that's at least what he told us)
So there's the message for all of you to think about this week.
Until next week, have a good one :)

If you've got a spare moment, why not check out this week's round-up of events?
