MouseMouseMonday #28: Music - July 2013

Hello!

So, I thought I'd share with you today what music I've been really into these days...

First up...
I just love OneRepublic's album, 'Native'. I like the whole vibe of it and the songs just make me want to party! One of my favourite songs is 'Counting Stars', take a look at the music vid for it:

Here we have a brand new segment on this blog!
If you didn't know before, the name is in German and literally translates as 'German Thursday'. It's relatively self-explanatory.
Starting today, for the next six weeks, on every Thursday, we will have a certain German word that ANT, ShoeLobber and Master found in the glassary of their German textbook. The point is that it's difficult to imagine why these words have been put into this GCSE level textbook...let's take a look.

German: Naschkatzen (noun)
Definition from the textbook: Someone with a sweet tooth

Someone tell me, when is someone going to think to use this word in a German assessment?

MouseMouseMonday #27: San Diego Comic-Con

Hello again!

Since I haven't posted much these days, I think it's fair that you have an extra post today!

As many of you know, San Diego Comic-Con took place over the past few days, and boy has it provided a whole bunch of new material to get excited about? Here are some of my picks of interviews and footage from the event. Unfortunately I did not attend, but if any of you did, I'd love to hear about your experiences!

MouseMouseMonday #26: Master's Movie Marathon

Hey peeps!

So, we haven't had a post in a while mainly because it's been pretty quiet here and also Master's been on holiday. However, on the plane journey back home, Master managed to watch a few movies, so we're gonna do some mini-reviews on them right now!

1. Beautiful Creatures
Based on the popular teen series, this film was released around February this year. I haven't read the book, but the storyline in the movie is pretty easy to follow. I liked the historical reference to the American Civil War and also the characters' Southern accents! Take a look at the trailer:

She claims that she's not pessimistic. Another example of ANT's interesting take on life, this time particularly on exam results.

NOTE: ANT is often portrayed as quite a negative figure, but really, I think she only says this stuff for fun. Remember, ALWAYS try your best in life :)
